FaZe Clan member Plaqueboymax is stirring controversy after comparing the demands of streaming to the daily grind of a 9-5 job.

During a November 4 broadcast, he asserted that while physical labor and daily routines of traditional jobs are difficult, streaming comes with a unique mental strain. He emphasized that being a public figure online can be psychologically taxing due to the constant scrutiny and criticisms from thousands of viewers.

“Being a streamer, or any face on the internet, is harder than a 9-5 in certain ways because it f*cks you up mentally,” he explained. “No human brain should be able to tolerate that.”

The comment sparked a wave of responses, with some users supporting Plaqueboymax’s perspective on streaming’s mental toll, while others criticized it as detached from the struggles faced by those in traditional jobs.
