Kai Cenat Faces Backlash Over Prank on Valkyrae’s Twitch Stream
Kai Cenat risks a potential Twitch ban after urging fans to spam Valkyrae’s chat, sparking backlash from viewers and content creators alike.
Twitch: Kai Cenat
Kai Cenat, a popular Twitch streamer, is under scrutiny following a controversial prank involving Valkyrae, co-owner of 100 Thieves and fellow content creator. On January 11, during a livestream, Cenat instructed his fans to spam Valkyrae’s chat with “Valkyrae got leaked.” His audience, however, refused to participate, expressing confusion and disapproval of his request.
The incident quickly gained traction online after clips surfaced, drawing criticism from the streaming community. Many labeled the prank “weird” and questioned Cenat’s behavior. Despite the backlash, Valkyrae addressed the situation with humor, sharing on social media that she was considering pranking Cenat in return but felt she had already won after seeing his fans’ supportive reactions.
I was trying to think of a reverse prank to get @KaiCenat back but after seeing the clip I already won the prank war lol

Valkyrae, who returned to Twitch after a five-year hiatus on YouTube, expressed gratitude for the positive response from Kai’s audience. She mentioned on stream that their refusal to spam her chat left her “shocked” and delighted, highlighting the strength of the streaming community.
While the prank wasn’t intended to harm, Cenat’s actions may violate Twitch’s Community Guidelines. These rules explicitly prohibit streamers from inciting viewers to target others, including organizing hostile raids or directing abuse.
