Kai Cenat Nears Twitch Sub Record Just Days Into Mafiathon 2

With over 160,000 subs in three days, Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 is on track to break Twitch’s all-time subscriber record.

Only three days into his second subathon, Kai Cenat is already nearing Twitch’s subscriber record, with his current count at 167,000. His first subathon, Mafiathon, set a high bar with over 300,000 subscribers, but was ultimately surpassed by VTuber Ironmouse, who raised the record to 326,000. Determined to reclaim the top spot, Kai launched Mafiathon 2 and has seen a huge surge in support.

A breakdown from TwitchTracker shows that of Kai’s current subscribers, around 73,000 are paid, over 32,000 are gifted, and about 24,000 are Twitch Prime. Reaching his goal may depend on a continued increase in gifted subscriptions, similar to his last subathon, where contributions from lower-cost regions, such as Turkey, helped boost his numbers.

Mafiathon 2 has already seen notable guests like Miles Morales NPC TikToker and Miranda Cosgrove, along with a cameo by Kim Kardashian in the event’s trailer. Kai is also giving back during this subathon, pledging to donate 20% of revenue to building a school near Lagos, Nigeria, underscoring his commitment to impactful causes.

Though a swatting incident briefly interrupted the event and led to a temporary Twitch ban, Kai’s momentum has continued strong. Fans can follow his progress live on his Twitch channel, with more exciting guests expected as Mafiathon 2 unfolds.
