A TikTok video falsely claiming YouTuber and MrBeast collaborator Karl Jacobs had been arrested recently went viral, leaving many fans confused and concerned. TikTok creator “zachxposts” posted the video on November 1, explaining in a serious tone that Jacobs had allegedly been taken into custody due to leaked chat logs from MrBeast's team. The video quickly gained traction, amassing over 4 million views, and convincing many viewers that the story was real.

As fans and even some media outlets in India covered the supposed arrest, zachxposts posted an update on November 3, admitting it was all an "inside joke" that had gone too far. He laughed at the unintended spread of his false claim, surprised that news websites had picked it up as a legitimate story.
Zachxposts has previously shared similar prank videos, claiming other MrBeast collaborators or influencers had been arrested or faced serious issues, despite no truth behind these claims. The hoax also coincided with actual news from MrBeast, who recently announced significant internal changes, including hiring a new executive team and addressing allegations involving former collaborator Ava Kris Tyson.
There’s no truth to any claims that Karl Jacobs, Chandler, or other MrBeast collaborators have been involved with authorities due to leaked chats. This incident serves as a reminder to stay vigilant when it comes to online rumors, as even “jokes” can quickly gain unexpected traction.
