Popular tech influencer Marques Brownlee, or MKBHD, recently responded to backlash over a controversial clip in a video he shared on November 11. The video briefly showed him driving a Lamborghini at 96 mph in a 35 mph zone, with nearby signs cautioning drivers to watch for children.
The clip sparked a flood of criticism from viewers who called out the unsafe driving, with some pointing out that such speeds could lead to severe penalties in various countries and states.
The video segment has since been deleted, with Brownlee addressing the situation in a comment and an apology on social media on November 12.
"There’s no reason to leave that clip in," he stated, acknowledging that it set a poor example. He also apologized, promising he’d avoid similar actions in the future.
