Mike Tyson Warned to Take Jake Paul “Seriously” in Upcoming Fight

Former coach Dewey Cooper cautions Tyson to respect Paul’s training as they prepare for the November 15 bout.

With the rescheduled fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul just days away, the boxing world is buzzing with predictions and advice. Tyson, a heavyweight legend, faces Jake Paul, the YouTuber-turned-boxer who’s been consistently training for over four years. Both men have devoted serious time to preparation, but according to Tyson’s former coach, Dewey Cooper, “Iron” Mike needs to approach this fight with caution.

“Jake Paul’s no joke, either. Mike better be serious because Jake’s been putting in real time [in training], consistently over four years straight — working,” Cooper told World Boxing News, emphasizing that Paul’s dedication makes him a genuine contender. Cooper added that Tyson has been rigorously preparing for their November 15 clash, even though the first fight date was postponed due to a health setback on Tyson’s part.

Despite being 58, Tyson is reportedly in shape and focused on his return to the ring. However, Netflix and other promoters are ensuring that Tyson undergoes strict pre-fight testing to avoid any health complications. Jake, determined to face Tyson, has stated it’s “Tyson or nothing” for him. The “Problem Child” also plans to move into MMA after this fight, regardless of the outcome, signaling his commitment to building a lasting career in combat sports.

With both fighters coming in well-prepared and motivated, the upcoming bout promises an intense showdown. For fans of both boxing veterans and rising stars, November 15 is set to be a date to remember in the combat sports world.
