Nintendo Releases $100 Interactive Alarm Clock Called Alarmo
Set to launch in early 2025 for $99.99, Alarmo is available for pre-order through the My Nintendo Store
As anticipation builds for the Switch 2, Nintendo has surprised fans with a new interactive alarm clock called Alarmo. In a playful press release, the company asked, “Ever wish that you could wake up in one of the playful worlds from Nintendo? Well, it’s time to stop dreaming!” Set to launch in early 2025 for $99.99, Alarmo is currently available for pre-order through the My Nintendo Store for U.S. and Canadian Nintendo Switch Online members.
Alarmo features motion sensor technology that lets users snooze the alarm with a wave or stop it by getting out of bed. Users can choose from 35 scenes inspired by five popular Nintendo titles: Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4, and Ring Fit Adventure. Once a scene is selected, Alarmo brings an immersive waking experience that feels like a mini-adventure.
When the alarm goes off, a character from the chosen game appears on screen, accompanied by gentle sounds unique to that title. Users can interact with Alarmo to lower the volume, and if they linger in bed too long, the alarm intensifies with Bowser making a guest appearance to encourage them to wake up.
Nintendo plans to keep Alarmo fresh with updates, adding scenes from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons for free. The clock is designed for twin to king-sized beds and must be placed within arm’s reach. The company also assured users that Alarmo does not collect or share any personal information, ensuring privacy while you sleep.
