Police Called on Kai Cenat During Walmart Live Stream

Kai Cenat’s late-night Walmart live stream was disrupted when a shopper’s complaint led to a police intervention

On September 16, Twitch streamer Kai Cenat and fellow AMP member Chrisnxtdoor were streaming a casual trip to Walmart when their outing was unexpectedly disrupted. The two were grabbing snacks while live streaming to fans, but things took a turn when a man approached them, visibly irritated by the camera, and demanded they stop filming.

In response, Kai and Chris decided to wrap up their shopping and head toward the checkout. However, as they were leaving, the man escalated the situation by grabbing their camera, frustrating the duo. The tension built as they reached the self-checkout, only for the police to arrive shortly after.

When confronted by the officers, Kai calmly explained that they were just filming their shopping trip and had complied when asked to leave. He pointed out that the man’s aggressive actions had made the situation unnecessarily tense. Chris, meanwhile, quietly paid for a nearby family's groceries, keeping things low-key as the discussion with the officers continued.

As more police arrived, it became clear that the situation was not as serious as it initially seemed. The officers reassured Kai and Chris that they weren’t in trouble, and after speaking with the man who had complained, one officer returned to apologize for the confusion.

The officer did, however, advise the streamers to be more considerate when filming in public, noting that their camera’s bright light could be disruptive. Despite the earlier hostility, the encounter ended peacefully, and Kai and Chris left the store without further issues.
