Razer Launches New Gengar-Themed Pokémon Headset Exclusively in China

Eager fans might have to pay a premium to get their hands on these Gengar ears

You can’t be a proper Discord kitten without cat ears on your gaming headset, but imagine swapping them out for Pokémon ears. That’s the concept behind Razer’s latest gaming headset inspired by Gengar, the iconic ghost-type Pokémon from Pokémon Red and Green. Unfortunately, this headset and the rest of Razer's Gengar-themed collection are currently exclusive to China, leaving international fans to seek them out through third-party import channels.

Originally announced in July, the full Gengar x Razer collection features the headset, a mouse, and a desk mat, all showcasing Gengar’s mischievous grin. While the headset has just become available, you can find it on platforms like AliExpress and eBay. However, early listings for the headset are a bit inflated, with prices starting around $200, despite the original cost being roughly $125 . Although prices may drop in the coming weeks, eager fans might have to pay a premium to get their hands on these Gengar ears.

Razer has previously collaborated with Pokémon, releasing accessories themed around Pikachu and Eevee, including keyboards, soundbars, and mouse pads. It’s disappointing that this Gengar line is limited to China, especially in a community where scalping and reselling are rampant. Fans who simply want to admire the Gengar headset can check out the promotional images released by Razer without the hassle of reselling prices.
