Tajikistan Bans Popular Video Games
Tajikistan has officially prohibited the distribution of well-known video games, Grand Theft Auto (GTA) and Counter-Strike, due to concerns that they encourage criminal behavior among young players. The country's interior ministry noted that the violent and immoral themes of these games negatively affect youth, prompting authorities in Dushanbe to raid gaming centers suspected of selling them.
The ministry underscored the importance of parental oversight, urging families to prevent children from engaging with games that promote violence and criminal acts. This ban aligns with a broader trend of countries imposing restrictions on video games over similar concerns. For instance, Turkey blocked access to Roblox earlier this year amid fears of child exploitation, while Kuwait recently halted the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, leading to refunds for pre-orders by Activision.

Pokimane Shares Health Scare After Lump Regrows
On November 4, Twitch star Pokimane opened up about a health scare involving a regrowing lump on her chest. Previously removed, the lump was rediscovered during routine MRIs, raising concerns for her gynecologist. Thankfully, after tests, it was confirmed to be benign and noncancerous.
The emotional journey was difficult for the streamer, especially as she awaited the test results. The good news came on her mother's birthday, leading to a touching phone call. Despite initially being hesitant to share, Pokimane decided to speak out, encouraging her fans to prioritize their health and stay proactive with regular check-ups.

Lunchly Faces Mold Controversy After BTMC Discovery
Lunchly, the grab-and-go lunch kit co-created by Logan Paul, KSI, and MrBeast, is facing renewed scrutiny after Twitch streamer BTMC discovered a moldy pizza kit on stream on November 4. Unlike previous complaints of minor mold spots, BTMC’s kit showed extensive mold growth, with clumped cheese covered in fungus, which he described as "the worst yet."
This follows earlier complaints, including one from YouTuber Rosanna Pansino, who found mold in a Lunchly pizza kit last month. Despite claims from Lunchly about rigorous testing and USDA approval, the repeated mold discoveries have raised questions about the company’s quality control and sparked discussions about food safety. Logan Paul addressed the growing concerns, confirming that no recall has been issued yet.

Kick Breaks Viewership Records in October 2024
Kick, the rising streaming platform, achieved impressive growth in October 2024, breaking viewership records and positioning itself as a serious contender to Twitch. According to Streamcharts, the platform saw a 33% increase in average viewership, surpassing 360.7K, and experienced significant engagement in categories like “Just Chatting” and Minecraft. “Just Chatting” streams alone amassed 59 million hours watched, a 25% increase from September, while the IRL category grew by 114%, surpassing the popular Slots & Casino section.
Kick’s success was driven by top streamers like N3on, who led the IRL category with 18.4 million hours watched, and the Minecraft community, which saw a 770% growth, largely due to the “Dedsafio” event. Other breakout stars included Streen, who quickly became a top streamer, and GirlOfNox, who surpassed Amouranth as the leading female creator. This record-breaking month demonstrates Kick’s rising prominence in the streaming world, signaling a potential shift in the live streaming landscape.
